If you want to give Sophia a gift...
You all know how deeply both of
us love learning and we dearly hope to be able to share this delight
with our children. To that end, the Amundgaard GRANDparents had their
accountant set up a ’529 Plan’ which
 will serve as an educational savings plan for our daughter. We
strongly prefer contributions to this plan than any toy or outfit. If
you’re interested in contributing, we can put you in contact with the
Montana Amundgaards who can give you all the details. Also, along
the learning/education lines, we’ve made a list of books that we’d love for our children to grow up with.
About toys: we would love for our child to grow up with non-toxic toys which promote imagination,
 familiarity with beauty, and engender the sense that the world belongs
 to our Father. So, a few picky requests: please, no toys which require
 batteries; no toys which make sounds (other than musical  instruments);
 nothing made in sweatshops; and nothing too fragile or ‘girly’ (yes,
this means bows and the color pink). So, to summarize, we don’t want our
  kids to play with toys made by other kids, and we want the toy to ask
the question, not give the answer (i.e. we want our child to provide
the sounds and movement of the train as opposed to sitting and watching
 it move and make  sounds).
